Through the efforts of Siasa place and other like-minded organizations, there has been great improvement in youth participation in democratic processes. The 2022 elections showed how far we have come and how far we can go if we set our eyes on the goal: More youths participated in the 2022 elections compared to 2017 elections with IEBC data shows that in regards to youth elective participation, 2017 had 3,428 youth who were on the ballot, while 2022 had 4,350. Further, while in 2017, 314 youth were elected, in 2022, 335 youths got elected to various leadership seats.
